South Korea invites North Korea to Security Conference

South Korea invited North Korean Vice Defense Minister to attend a security conference that will be held in Seoul, South Korean despite the tensions between the two countries. The invitation was sent by South Korea's Vice Defense Minister, Baek Seung-Joo to his North Korean Counterpart through Military Hotline.

The annual conference was launched in 2012 to enhance global security and stability especially in the region. South Korea has already sent invitations to 32 countries including the United States and Japan.
