Windows 10 May Not Reach You Today, July 29

Today is the launch date of Microsoft's Windows 10 but it may not reach you today since the Windows Insiders who applied last October 2014 will be the ones who will get the copy first before the rest.

"Starting on July 29, we will start rolling out Windows 10 to our Windows Insiders," said Terry Myerson, Microsoft's Executive Vice President.

Windows Insiders will be the first to have Windows 10 because they were the people who tested the previous versions of it and gave suggestions to Microsoft on how they can improve the Windows 10 for the benefit of the users.

"From there, we will start notifying reserved systems in waves, slowly scaling up after July 29th."

Also, If all the people who reserve a copy of Windows 10 tried to download it on its launch day, then its download will take forever since a lot of people will be downloading it at the same time.

"We've been really pleased with the strong response to Windows 10 since we kicked off reservations in early June, with millions of reservations," Myerson said. "We want to make sure all of you have a great upgrade experience, so we'll roll out Windows 10 in phases to help manage the demand."

Also, Windows 10 for Businesses will only be available after August 1.

Microsoft is counting on Windows 10 to bring back the users it lost because of the negative reactions of users to Window 8 and Windows 8.1. They hope that through the improvements they have added in the Windows 10, they will be able to encourage the users of Windows 7, the current most popular version of software, to download and try Windows 10.
